2008 YTB Convention
The 2008 YTB Convention will be an historic event featuring a nearly exact replica of the Statue of Liberty in New York, only this Lady Liberty is about 20 feet shorter and made from styrofoam and sprayed-on plastic to make her weather-proof and able to stand up to the weather.

Television station WGN AMERICA decided that YTB's amazing Lady Liberty being built for the 2008 YTB National Convention was important enough to make it their Cover Story.
Attendees at last years National Convention will be glad to know that Beryl Martin, the architect for last year's life-size airplane replica, is back again this year to make an even grander display of ingenuity and craftsmanship. It's been reported that bids have come in for this stage costing $8 Million.
It looks like the Lady Liberty is quite newsworthy this season. Perhaps UPS will capitalize as being the "Official Transporter" of Lady Liberty from Lake County to St. Louis with a 3 mile long caravan of 80 UPS trucks the first week in August.
This isn't the first time Lady Liberty has made news. Back in April, ABC news gave did a segment on the building progress, which was also aired on Good Morning America the next morning. News coverage will continue through the convention right up to the final resting place of Lady Liberty, which looks like it will be at Crown Point, Indiana. There she will stand tall as a tribute to fallen police officiers, fire fighters, and soldiers.
Lady Liberty will open the 5-day YTB Convention, the likes of which St. Louis has never seen before. More than 20,000 Referring Travel Agents will pile into the Edward Jones Dome for two days of educational seminars, followed by two days of news, awards and exciting announcements of YTB's progress toward becoming the largest online travel company in the world.
