YTB Red Carpet Day

The YTB Red Carpet Day is intended to introduce prospective referring travel agents and reps to the corporate office. The events are held usually once per month. People from all over the continent fly to Wood River, Illinois (just outside St. Louis, MO) to meet the founders of YTB and "kick the tires."

The first thing you experience is a tour of the home office, which is a LEED-designed 125,000 square foot building that is being refurbished to an impressive corporate headquarters office. Nearly 300 staff are already housed in this facilty and many more are yet to come as YTB continues to expand.

After completing the tour and meeting some of the executives and employees behind the scene, you are ushered off to a (free)luncheon, which is the venue for the presentation by the founders, executive staff and field directors. Often, special announcements and awards are given out after the luncheon.

Most participants are extremely impressed by the sincerity of the founders and the excitement of the whole event. Several hundred are usually in attendance. The vision of founder Lloyd Tomer (affectionately called "Coach") spans the next several decades and beyond.

In addition, YTB offers several sessions throughout the day to teach new or prospective RTAs how to grow their business. The format of these short trainings mirrors the classes taught at the annual convention YTB University.
